WebJul 25, 2004 · The car has 4750 miles on it. After the oil change, I let the car idles for a while. Then 2 minutes later.. the rpm starting to drop. It went down to about 400 rpm when I started to give it gas. The car was rocking pretty bad and it was choking on something when I gave it gas to get the rpm up. But 80% of the time at red light, it's 800 - 1300 RPM at a red light. I checked the air intake hose and it's fine. I have a Cold air intake so I don't think they checked the air filter. Could it possibly be bad oil they poured in?
