Heck no! The AD30, to me, is Orange's closest model to Vox territory. I liked the AD30 combo "ok" when I tried it out, but I ended up buying an RV50. WebJan 17, 2011 · The ad-30 was cool, but I preferred my ac-30 for that sound. The ad-140, though much maligned was awesome with the right speakers (G12H30's were my preference with it). Though I still prefer my jcm 800 for mid-gain rock, I have to say I got more compliments when I toured with the Orange (though I think some of it was it's appearance).
