Onset of nucleation boiling

WebExperimental results are presented for the onset of nucleation, bubble growth, and heat transfer in subcooled flow boiling of water near atmospheric pressure. The theoretical analysis for nucleation criterion is extended by including the results of a numerical study to locate the stagnation streamline in the liquid flowing around the bubble.
