Interestingly, about two days after re-introducing the carbon the polyps all re-emerged. This may have been a coincidence. But again, the polyps remained concealed for an entire 1-2 week period, which conincided with the absence of carbon.

A silver dollar sized frag I got has almost doubled in size in the past 3 months. I don't know if that's considered fast growth but it works for me.
