When winter came I had trouble with the temp going too low, so I did quite a bit of reading on the various solutions (some of which are totally over the top and expensive in my opinion). WebSep 30, 2011 · If you have the thermostat on the freezer already set up for fermenting, then simply adding a light bulb or two will be the simplest thing to do. I'd recommend (as someone said) covering the bulb in Al foil. This way it won't give off infrared which would heat things closer to it, but would more just heat the air.
