If your cards are getting damaged at a wedding shoot then surely you have to call into question the procedures being used before the equipment itself. The extra rez is hamdy for cropping...the comment about "good photographers" not needing to crop is laughable and naive. The far greater dynamic range will allow for better tonality and quality in the final results. And try carrying two D5s around your neck all day...lol.

Also, the AF system has a much better hit rate from a continuous set of 4 frames for one burst compared to the D600.
